The Kramer PT-871/2-KIT, PT-871/2xr-KIT, WP-871xr, WP-872xr, PT-871xr, and PT-872xr are a series of high-performance, long-reach DGKat™ 2.0 transmitters and receivers designed for extending 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) HDR, HDMI™ (HDCP 2.2 compliant) signals over twisted pair copper infrastructures. These devices also support 2-way powering over twisted pair (PoC). The transmitters convert an HDMI input signal into a DGKat™ 2.0 signal, while the receivers convert the transmitted DGKat™ 2.0 signal back into an HDMI signal.

Function Description:

These devices act as high-performance extenders, utilizing professional DGKat™ 2.0 technology to provide long-reach signal transmission over twisted pair copper cables. They incorporate low-level video compression technology to deliver visually lossless performance for 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) HDR signals with near-zero latency. Key functionalities include HDMI signal extension, supporting HDCP 2.2, HDR, deep color, x.v.Color™, lip sync, HDMI uncompressed audio channels (Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, 2K, 4K, and 3D as specified in HDMI 2.0). EDID signals are passed through from the source to the display, ensuring Plug and Play operation. Multi-channel audio extension is also supported, with up to 32 channels of digital stereo uncompressed signals for studio-grade surround sound.

Signal Compression:
- PT-871/2-KIT: Low-level compression applied to line-transmitted signals above 1080p resolution.
- PT-871/2xr-KIT, PT-871xr, PT-872xr: Standard low-level compression applied to line-transmitted signals above 1080p resolution by default. User can optionally apply high-level compression to all line-transmitted signals.
- WP-871xr, WP-872xr: High-level compression applied to line-transmitted signals above 1080p resolution by default.

Usage Features:

Easy Installation: Installation is fast and cost-effective, requiring only a single twisted pair cable for both video signal and power (PoC).
Compact Design: PT-871/2-KIT, PT-871/2xr-KIT, PT-871xr, and PT-872xr feature Compact Pico TOOLS™ fan-less enclosures, suitable for device-back mounting or side-by-side mounting of four units in a 1U rack space with a recommended rack adapter.
Wall Plate Integration: WP-871xr and WP-872xr wall plates are designed to fit compactly into standard US, EU, and UK 1-gang in-wall box sizes, allowing for decorative integration with room-deployed user interfaces like electrical switches.
Compression Level Setting: PT-871xr and PT-872xr models include a Compression Options DIP-switch (DIP-switch 1) to select between standard and high compression levels for additional range extension. DIP-switch 1 must be set identically on both the transmitter and receiver. When connecting to wall plates, DIP switches should always be set to high compression.
EDID Pass-through: Ensures seamless Plug and Play operation between HDMI sources and displays.
Multi-channel Audio: Supports up to 32 channels of digital stereo uncompressed audio.

Maintenance Features:
