Close the tail lift.
ü The top flap is closed.

height when swinging out the top flap.
Also observe the enclosed supplier
documentation.

Open the tail lift.
Open the top flap completely with the
assistance of the gas pressure
springs.
ü The top flap is open.
ü The sliding roof can be opened from
front to back or from back to front (see
"6.4.2 Sliding roof", pg.83).
Closing the top flap (version 2)
þ The sliding roof is fully pushed from
front to back (see "6.4.2 Sliding roof",
pg.83).
Pull down the top flap against the res-
istance of the gas pressure springs us-
ing the pull strap.
Close the tail lift.
ü The top flap is closed.
6.2 Sliding curtain superstruc-
ture
!
WARNING
Risk of accident due to unlocked cur-
tain!
When driving with an unlocked curtain, the
curtain can suddenly flap around and in-
jure other road users. In addition, there is
a risk of losing the load.
Before every trip, check that the cur-
tain is properly locked.
KRONE trailers with a sliding curtain su-
perstructure have sliding curtains at the
sides (see "6.2.1 Side curtain", pg.65) and
sliding posts (adjustable centre posts (see
"6.2.7 Centre posts", pg.73)) as well as a
separate roof tarp. Furthermore, aluminium
or wooden plug-in laths can be used to re-
inforce the lateral load compartment lim-
iter(see "6.2.6 Lateral load compartment limiter",
pg.71).
6.2.1 Side curtain
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unfastened curtain
rope ends!
Unfastened curtain rope ends can flap
around, injure people, and cause material
damage.
Secure the ends of the curtain ropes
after closing the curtain.
The side curtain can be pushed together
lengthwise from back to front as well as in
the opposite direction. The curtain is sus-
pended from rollers on the continuous ex-
ternal beam of the roof. The curtain can be
fastened to the corner posts and tensioned
lengthwise.
Curtain fastenings are tensioned on the
chassis with curtain buckles at regular in-
tervals (see "6.2.2 Curtain buckle", pg.66).
