6.20 Closing the filler cap

Warning
Fire hazard Fuel is highly flammable, toxic and a health hazard.
– Check the filler cap is locked correctly after closing.
– Change your clothing in case of fuel spills on them.
– Rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of water in the event of con-
tact with the skin.

Fold down the filler cap

and push it down.
The filler cap locks audibly in place.

is located on each side of the fuel tank.

The fuel cocks must always be open during operation.
The fuel cocks are only closed to remove the fuel tank.
Possible states
• Fuel cocks are closed – Level equalization cannot take place and the fuel supply to the
throttle valve body is shut off.
• Fuel cocks are open – Level equalization can take place and the fuel supply to the
throttle valve body is open.
