Why does my KTM Motorcycle engine overheat?
    • N
      Natalie HooverAug 9, 2025
Your KTM Motorcycle engine may overheat due to several reasons. It could be due to too little coolant in the cooling system, which means you should check the cooling system for leakage and the coolant level. Insufficient airflow can also cause overheating, so switch off the engine when stationary. Very dirty radiator fins, foam formation in the cooling system (in this case, drain and refill the coolant), a damaged cylinder head or cylinder head gasket (check them), a bent radiator hose (replace it), or an incorrect ignition point due to a loose stator (adjust the ignition on all 125 models) can also be the cause.
