Condition
Ignition coil cyl ind er 1 is di sconnected.
Spark plug con nect or cy linder 1 has been removed.
Ignition coil cylinder 1 - check the secondary winding resistance
Meas ur e th e resistance between th e specified points.
0 Igni ti on coil cylinder 1 pin 2 (-)- Ignition co il cylinder 1 pin 3
Ig nition coil
Secondary winding resistance at:
20 oc (68 ° F)
1 10.8 ... 16.2 kn
If the displayed va lue does not correspond to spec ifi ca ti on s:
Change the ignition coil.
Checking the spark plug connector

Condition
Spark plug connector cylinder 1 has been removed.
Measure
the resistance bet we en the spec ified points.
Meas
uring po int 1 -M easuring point 2
Resistance at: 20 oc (68 ° F) 3.75 ... 6.25 kn
If the specifica tion is not reached:
Change
th e spark plug connector.
Alternator - checking the stator winding

Condition
Th e stator is disconnected.
Preparatory work
Remove the seat. (0 p. 101)
Main work
EZ Stator winding, measurement I - check the resistance

Measure the resistance between the specified points.
Stator, connector EZ pin 1 - Stator, connector EZ pin 2
Alternator
Resistance of stator w indin g at:
20 oc (68 ° F)
I 0.368 ... 0.552 n
If the value displayed does not meet spec ifi ca ti on s:
Change th e stator.
Stator winding, measurement II - check the resistance

Alternator
