1. Remove the mower deck from the machine according
to the procedure "ATTACHING THE MOWER".
2. Remove shields and stays from the mower deck. (See
"Cleaning Mower Deck" in "DAILY CHECK" in
"PERIODIC SERVICE" section.)
3. Clean around the pulleys to remove the belt from the
pulleys. Slip the belts over the top of the left side pulley
and the right side pulley.
4. Remove both brackets which mount the gear box to
the mower deck.
5. To install a new belt, reverse the above procedure.
Tighten each bolt with following torque.
A Reamer bolt and Bolt (for Aluminum gear case)
39.2 to 44.1 N-m (4.0 to 4.5 kgf-m)
A Reamer bolt and Bolt (other)
48.1 to 55.9 N-m (4.9 to 5.7 kgf-m)
A Tighten cover bolts securely.

(2) Right bracket
(3) Reamer bolt
(4) Bolt
(5) Belt, Nut
(1) RH-belt
(2) Tension pulley
(3) LH-belt
(4) Left hand shield
(5) Right hand shield
(6) Left side pulley
