1.Holdthehandrimsandpressevenlywithbothhands
untilthewheelchairstops.
Brakingwithanattendant
Withanattendant’sbrake(drumbrake)anattendantcan
brakethewheelchairwhileitismoving.Theattendant’s
brakecanalsobeusedasaparkingbrake.
1.Tobrake,pullthebrakeleveronthepushhandle.
2.Topark,pullthebrakeleverrmlyandmovethesafety
leverupwards.
3.Torelease,pullthebrakeleveruntilthesafetylever
disengages.
6.3Gettinginandoutofthewheelchair
WARNING!
Riskofoverturning
Thereisahighriskofoverturningduringthe
transfer .
–Onlygetinandoutwithoutassistanceifyou
arephysicallyabletodoso.
–Whentransferring,positionyourselfasfar
backaspossibleintheseat.Thiswillprevent
damagedupholsteryandthepossibilityofthe
wheelchairtippingforward.
–Makesurethatbothcastorsarefacingstraight
tothefront.
