lessstableandincreasetheriskoftipping
backwards,butimprovesitsmaneuverability
byabettergrippositionofthehandrimand
ashortturningradius.
–Conversely,bymovingtherearwheelsaxis
backwards,thewheelchairismorestable
andtiltslesseasily,butitsmaneuverabilityis
reduced.
–Dependingontheuser’sabilitiesandits
particularsafetylimits,thedecreaseinstability
canbecompensatedforbyinstallingan
anti-tipperdevice.
