Removing paper jams from the FS-1800(+), FS-1900, FS-
3800, FS-1920, FS-3820 or FS-3830
The front panel of your printer will indicate when a paper jam has occurred. The
jam can be corrected by removing the paper without turning the printer off.
The printer goes off-line and the paper jam location is displayed.
Online help messages
With the online help message function, this printer can display the procedure to
correct a paper jam on the message display. When a paper jam message is
displayed, press the key.?
Pressing the down key at the online help message display shows the next step;
pressing the up key shows the previous step.
Jam in paper cassettes
Pull out the paper cassette and remove the jammed paper. Paper jammed in the
optional feeder (PF-60) can be removed in the same way.
Removing jams from within the printer
Push the paper cassette back in. While pulling the paper feed unit release lever,
pull out the paper feed unit.
If the paper is jammed before the registration roller, remove it as shown in
diagram A. If the paper is jammed under the registration roller remove it as
shown in diagram B.
