DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. GENERAL
This Component Maintenance Manual describes the Model FA5000, Cockpit Voice Re-
corder (CVR). FA5000CVR, P/N: 5003-5000−00, 5003-5000-01, 5003-5001-50,
5013-5000-30, and 5013-5001-50. Features include:
F ED-112 compliant
F ARINC 757/A characteristics, including Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) interface
F Maintenance free − no periodic or scheduled maintenance, on-condition LRU
F Solid-state flash memory capable of 2 hour recording
