SQUARING THE BLADE
1. Remove the fence by loosening the two wing
screws and sliding the fence out.
2. Place the saw on a flat surface.
3. With the bevel indicator at 0 degrees, use a small
square to ensure the blade is square with the
surface.
4. If the blade is not square, locate the positive stop
adjustment screw shown in Figure 14.
5. Rotate the screw, right or left, and continue
measuring with the square until the blade is square
with the surface.
6. Replace the fence and tighten wing screws.
Some dust created by power sanding,
sawing, grinding, drilling, and other
construction activities contains chemicals known [to
the State California] to cause cancer, birth defects or
other reproductive harm.
Some examples of these chemicals are:
s Lead from lead-based paints.
s Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other
masonry products.
s Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated
lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on
how often you do this type of work. To reduce your
exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated
area, and work with approved safety equipment, such
as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter
out microscopic particles.
