Item Description Function
1 File New - Opens a new configuration file
Open - Opens a saved configuration file
Save - Saves the current configuration file
Save As - Saves the current configuration file as a
different named file
Exit - Closes the current configuration file
2 Processor Apply - Applies any changes made via the
configuration software to the thermometer
Read - Reads and displays parameters set in the
thermometer
3 Comms 485 Settings - Displays and allows changes to be
made to the RS485 settings information, Serial Port,
Baud Rate and Address (see Fig. 33)
4 Live Data Live dynamic information, including instrument Label,
Internal Ambient Temperature, selected Time Function
and Alarms settings
5 Thermometer S/N, Address and Type - instrument I.D. information
read direct from instrument.
Label - Label or name allocated to instrument,
determined by user
Units - °C or °F, selectable by user
6 Emissivity Setting - emissivity set by user, range 0.10 to 1.00
Mode - Serial option allows emissivity to be set using
digital ‘Setting’ function. 0-20mA option, reads
analog emissivity setting direct from instrument
7 Output Uses an ‘AZAR’ system (adjustable zero, adjustable
range). Allows the user to set the current output to
operate over a reduced span within the operating range
of the instrument.
Maximum Temperature - sets the upper limit to the
selected temperature span
Minimum Temperature - sets the lower limit to the
selected temperature span
Mode - Select output mode from 0-20mA or 4-20mA
