12) Operation modes
The unit can func
tion in three modes :
Step
by step – This mode is enabled by setting the dip switches 1=OFF 2=OFF
Automatic – This mode is enabled by setting the dip switches 1=OFF 2=ON
Condominium – This mode is enabled by setting the dip switches 1=ON 2=
No effect
Notice: The ope
ration logic setting (dip switch), the work time programming and the pause time programming must be carried out only if the cycle is
concluded or before it starts (with closed gate).
“Step-by-step” mode with “closing start” command enabled (Dip switch 4 = off)
When the gate is closed, the “opening start” command determines an opening cycle. The gate stops when it arrives on the Limit switch or at the end of
the work time. The operating cycle is completed (blinker off) and the system waits for a “closing start” command. In order to stop the gate movement,
supply an "opening start" command during the closure or a "closing start" command during the opening.
“Automatic” mode with “closing start” command enabled (Dip switch 4 = off)
When the gate is closed, the “opening start” command determines an opening cycle. The gate stops when it arrives on the Limit switch or at the end of
the work time. The pause period starts (blinker off). At the end of the pause period the gate closes automatically. The operating cycle is complete only
when the closing motion has ended. If a “opening start” command during the closure or a “closing start” command during the opening is supplied, the
gate stops and it doesn’t close automatically. During the pause period, an “opening start” command stops the operating cycle (the gate doesn’t close
automatically) while a “closing start” command begins the closure of the gate immediately.
“Condominium” mode with “closing start” command enabled (Dip switch 4 = off)
When the gate is closed, the “opening start” command determines an opening cycle. The gate stops when it arrives on the Limit switch or at the end of
the work time. The pause period starts (blinker off). At the end of the pause period the gate closes automatically. The operating cycle is complete only
when the closing motion has ended. If an “opening start” command or a “closing start” command is supplied while the gate opens, the command will
have no effect. During the closing phase only the “opening start” command operates. If a “opening start “command is supplied while the gate closes,
the gate will stop and reverse its motion after approx. 2 sec. If an “opening start” command or a “closing start” command is supplied during the pause
period, the period will be reset and the automatic closure will start later.
Important : If the gate opening is controlled by a clock the “condominium” mode must be enabled.
Note : For all operation modes, the “opening start” command and the “closing start” command can be supplied by the two push-butt
ons of
the remote control.
Operating of "pedestrian Start" with all the operating modes (dip switch 4 = ON)
Setting the dip sw
itch 4 in ON, the “opening start” and “closing start” commands become, respectively, “start” and “pedestrian start” commands. The
“start” command operates in cyclic mode with sequence “open-stop-close-stop-open….” into the logics of operation above mentioned. The “pedestrian
start” command is enabled only when the gate is closed. In any operation mode, the “pedestrian start” command causes the gate opening for 7
seconds only, according to the logic set (Step by Step, Automatic, Condominium).
