How to troubleshoot a Leica TCS SP8 White Light Laser that does not emit laser radiation?

  If the White Light Laser on your Leica Microscope isn't emitting radiation, confirm the following: * The White Light Laser module interlock is set to ON. * The White Light Laser module emission is on (the Emission LED should be red). * LAS X shows that the WLL is on, the shutter is raised, and laser power is set on WLL emission lines. If the issue persists: 1. Close the LAS X program. If the problem relates to the scanner, you won't hear clicking sounds during shutdown as the pre-shutdown WLL checks are performed. 2. Switch off the LSM using switch 3 (marked Scanner). 3. Switch the LSM back on. 4. Reopen the LAS X program. If resolved, you should hear clicking during startup as the WLL checks are performed. 5. Confirm laser emission.

Why is the Argon laser on my Leica TCS SP8 not emitting laser radiation?

  To troubleshoot why the Argon laser isn't emitting radiation, confirm the following: * The Argon laser switch (switch 2) is ON. * The Argon laser fan is running (you should hear a continuous loud whirring noise). * LAS X indicates that the argon laser is on, and laser power is set for the argon laser. If the laser still doesn't emit: * Close the LAS X program. * Switch off the argon laser using switch 2 (marked Laser).
