POST Errors
Therearetwotypesoferrors:noncriticalandcritical.Anoncriticalerrorappliesto
oneport,andtheswitchisoperational.Youcancontinuetooperatetheswitch;
however,youmustreplaceitassoonaspossible.Whencriticalerrorsoccur,the
switchdoesnotoperate.
ToviewPOSTresults,complete
thefollowingsteps:
1. LogontotheCMMCommand‐LineInterface(CLI)asdescribedintheCMM
documentation.Ifnecessary,obtainthe
InternetProtocol(IP)
addressoftheCMM
fromyoursystemadministrator.Theloginwindowopens.
2. Turnoffthepowertotheswitch;then,turnitonagain.
3. AfterPOSTiscompleted,theCMMdisplaystheresults.Refreshthewindowto
viewthePOSTresults.Ifacriticalerroroccurs,replacetheswitch.If
anoncritical
erroroccurs,seetheswitcherrorlogforadditionaldetails.

abbreviatedlistisrepresentative;itisnotanexhaustivelist.Anerrorcodeis
