Step 2. Align the rear backplane with the rear hot-swap drive cage and lower it into the rear hot-swap drive
cage.

Step 3. Connect the signal cable and the power cable on the rear backplane.
Step 4. Install the air baffle into the rear hot-swap drive cage as shown.

After you finish
1. Reinstall the drives or drive fillers into the rear hot-swap drive cage. See “Install a hot-swap drive” on
page 38.
2. Reinstall the drive assembly to the server. See “Install the hot-swap rear drive assembly” on page 49.
3. Complete the parts replacement. See “Complete the parts replacement” on page 110.
