Do not proceed before reading and understanding the "Safety Precautions" section of this chapter and "Read Me First".
To remove the Riser 1, 2, do the following:
1. Turn off all attached devices and the server.
2. Disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Remove the server cover. (See "Removing and reinstalling the server cover")
4. Disconnect all cables connected to the PCIe cards
5. Grasp the assembly with both hands and carefully lift it straight up and off the chassis.
Removing the riser 1 module
Removing the riser 2 module
To reinstall, reverse the steps above.

To remove a PCIe card on riser module, do the following:
1. Turn off all attached devices and the server.
2. Disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Remove the server cover. (See "Removing and reinstalling the server cover").
4. Remove the Riser assembly. (See " Replacing the Riser 1, 2).
5. Rotate the latch (Step 1)
6. Pull the PCIe card outwards carefully to remove it (Step 2).
