An unambiguous PROFIsafe target address ensures that a data telegram reaches the
correct node.
The valid address within the range between 1 and 1023 can be set via the DIP switch .The
address 0 is invalid and causes an error in the module.
DIP switch Labelling
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0

Note!
The combination ”safety module SM300 from version VA 1.08 and
communication module PROFIBUS from version VB 0.93” offers the
opportunity to avoid the error that occurs when an address i s set to 0. For this
purpose, a defined PROFIsafe target address must be saved in
C13897 or 14897 in the PROFIBUS communication module.
