ABOUT THE FILTER
The air purifier uses a 3-stage filtration system to purify air.
A. Washable Pre-Filter
• Captures large particles such as dust,
lint, fibers, hair, and pet fur.
• Maximizes the filter’s life by
protecting it.
• Removable and washable to increase
filtering eciency (see Cleaning the
Pre-Filter, page 17).
B. H13 True HEPA Filter
• Captures at least 99.97% of airborne
particles 0.3 microns (m) in size.
• Traps small particles such as fine
dust, smoke particles, and allergens
such as pollen and pet dander.

Note: Carbon filter eciencies decrease with use. If your air purifier isn’t as eective at filtering odors or
gasses, make sure to replace the filter (see page 19).
Note: Levoit has not tested its air purifiers for eectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 and makes no claims
that these air purifiers help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
C. High-Eciency Activated Carbon Filter
• Physically adsorbs smoke, odors, and
fumes.
• Filters compounds such as
formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia,
and hydrogen sulfide.
• Reduces household odors from food,
cigarettes, and pets.
• Tested to eectively filter volatile
organic compounds (VOCs).
According to the CDC, portable HEPA filtration units that combine a HEPA filter with a powered
fan system are eective at cleaning air within spaces to reduce the concentration of airborne
particulates, including SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) viral particles.
