Print Quality Test Pages
Purpose: To help isolate print quality problems, such as streaking. When you select this, these pages
print:
An information page containing printer information, cartridge information, current margin
settings, and a graphic to use to evaluate the print quality
Two pages with graphics to use to evaluate how well the printer is capable of printing various
types of graphics

Setup menu
Use the Setup menu to configure a variety of printer features.
Note: An asterisk indicates the factory default value.
Auto CR after LF
Purpose: To specify whether the printer automatically performs a carriage return after a line feed
control command.
Values:
Off* - Printer does not perform a carriage return after a line feed control command.
On - Printer performs a carriage return after a line feed control command.
Auto LF after CR
Purpose: To specify whether the printer automatically performs a line feed after a carriage return
control command.
Values:
Off* - Printer does not perform a line feed after a carriage return control command.
On - Printer performs a line feed after a carriage return control command.
Parallel menu
Use the Parallel menu to change printer settings affecting jobs sent to the printer through a parallel
port.
Note: An asterisk indicates the factory default value.
NPA Mode
Purpose: To specify whether the printer performs the special processing required for bidirectional
communication, following the conventions defined in the Network Printing Alliance (NPA) Protocol.
Values:
Off - Printer does not perform NPA processing.
On - Printer performs NPA processing. If data is not in NPA format, it is rejected as bad data.
