3.1 Unpacking and Inspection
When unpacking the UPS shipping carton you will find the following contents
and enclosed in a waterproof bag.
* The UPS itself
* User Manual
The spares part consists of the fuse for replacement when necessary.
Remove the unit from its shipping carton and examine it for damage or
moisture. Do not try to operate the UPS if it appears damaged. Save the
original shipping carton and contact your nearest sales office for instructions.
3.2 Locating the UPS
The UPS is designed to be a free standing unit and is intended to be located
in a controlled environment. Ensure that air flow through the openings is not
hindered or obstructed. Obstructing the free flow of air could cause the UPS
to overheat.
CAUTION : The UPS cabinet is not rated to support weight. Never
stock material or stand on the UPS. Never position the UPS
on its side or upside down.
3.3 CONNECTING THE UPS TO COMMERCIAL AC
IMPORTANT: The UPS shall be installed by qualified technician or
electrician in accordance with the electrical codes for the
area where it is installed and operated.
CAUTION: Ensure that the voltage and frequency of the input
AC power are within the specifications of the UPS
and that the combined loads do not exceed the total
power for the UPS.
