4. CONTROLS & INDICATIONS
Fig. 3 (Page 13) illustrates the control, indications and terminals on the UPS, also
explained in the following paragraphs :-
A. AC IN
This indicator illuminates when the incoming utility power is available.
B. FAULT
This indicator illuminates under following conditions :-
1. D.C. under voltage.
2. Inverter output under voltage.
3. Inverter output over voltage.
4. Equipment over temperature.
5. Inverter overload.
An audible alarm will also be ON.
C. BATTERY CAPACITY INDICATOR
This indicates the charging status of the battery bank.
D. INVERTER
This indicator illuminates when the inverter comes ON and inverter voltage is
within the limit.
E. BYPASS
This indicator illuminates when the output power is supplied from the bypass
source.
F. LOAD CAPACITY INDICATOR
Each segment is indicating the load of 20%. The red LED on the last
indicates the overload on the UPS.
G. ON/OFF SWITCH
After turning on the input circuit breaker and the battery breaker, turning ON
the ON/OFF switch will cause the inverter to become ON and transfer of the
load from bypass will take place. Turning-off the ON/OFF switch will cause
the load to be transferred from the inverter output to the bypass source and
inverter will become off.
H. FAN

J. COLD START SWITCH

K. LED
L. EXTERNAL CONNECTION ARRANGEMENT
IP-L, IP-N - Input Connections
U4, N4 - Should be used only if common bypass
Is required.
BYP-L, BYP-N - Bypass connections
OUT-L, OUT-N - Output connections.
BAT+, BAT- - Battery Connections.
M. BATTERY CIRCUIT BREAKER
N. INPUT CIRCUIT BREAKER
O. FUSE This protects the control supply of high line transfer circuit.
