  If you're not getting any sound, try these steps: Ensure the microphones are turned off while charging to achieve a full charge, which should last eight hours. Turn the Media Connector on and check that the POWER light on the top panel is illuminated. Inspect the battery contacts, cleaning and adjusting them if necessary. Also, confirm that a signal is being received at the ISR on the TOPCAT; the IR signal light should be red (or green for channel B) to indicate signal reception.

Why is there low volume or feedback on my Lightspeed TOPCAT Stereo System?

  There might be several reasons for low volume or feedback. First, make sure the Power LED is blue. Then, confirm that the batteries are charged. Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly, just below the collar bone. Verify that you are using the correct batteries; the REDMIKE VC requires the Lightspeed NH2A27 rechargeable sensing battery for proper charging, while the REDMIKE Share uses the NH2APK rechargeable battery pack. Finally, check the volume level on the REDMIKE VC. If it's too high, feedback can occur, so adjust it accordingly.

  To resolve drop out issues, first, ensure that no other REDMIKE VC/REDMIKE Share is operating on the same channel by checking the channel switch setting on the back of the REDMIKE VC or in the battery compartment of the REDMIKE Share. Also, make sure that the TOPCAT is not installed too close to ceiling light fixtures. If you're using the PageFirst feature, try decreasing the sensitivity to approximately the 8:00 position.
