6.1 Acceleration Functions
The LT360 provides several different acceleration functions or
profiles that control how the platter accelerates and decelerates
from a stationary position to the constant velocity rotation. Five
different acceleration profiles are provided:
■ 0 - Impulse
■ 1 - Flat
■ 2 - Ramp
■ 3 - SIN2
■ 4 - SIN3

6.2 Velocity Profiles
Each of the acceleration functions has an associated velocity profile.
These are shown in the graph below. The Impulse function reaches
full velocity very quickly, much faster than any of the other func-
tions. The other four functions all provide a much more gradual
acceleration.
