Turn the starting pivot gently, and remove the
driving gear and the friction spring together.
Remove the starting pivot and the return spring.
Detach the starting pivot sleeve.
Checking the starting pivot
Check if the pivot and the gear are worn.
Check if there is any softness of the starting return
spring.
Check if there is any excessive worn on the pivot
sleeve.
Check if the driven gear is worn / failed.
Check if the friction spring is worn / fractured.
