Also, confirm that your modem is connected to power and turned on. If you have cable internet, verify that the cable modem’s CABLE port is connected to the coaxial cable provided by your ISP. If you have DSL internet, ensure the DSL phone line is connected to the modem’s DSL port. Disconnect any USB cable previously connecting your computer to the modem and try installing the router again.
