9.6 TROUBLESHOOTING, WHAT TO DO IF A FIRMWARE UPDATE
FAILS
Turn on power to the searchlight and panel.
Network problem,
cabling.
Check your network cable connection to the
computer and to the panel or external switch.
Network problem, IP
address.
The update tool don’t work if the computer have
a static IP setting, change during update:
1, In Windows, find your Ethernet network card
in “Network connections”.
2, In the list rightclick on Internet Protocol
Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), select properties.
3, Select “Obtain an IP address automatically”
and confirm with “OK”.
Update computers
Firewall blocking the
connection.
If you use other firewall than Windows Defender,
temporarily turn it off during update.
In windows Defender:
1, Open Inbound Rules.
2, Right click on SL1Gui.
3, In advanced tab make sure both private and
public boxes are checked
Do this for both TCP and UDP inbound rule.
