REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
MANIFOLD INSTALLATION
Refer to Figure 279.
1. Install the 12 studs in position on the
cylinder head.
2. Position six manifold gaskets on the studs.
Exhaust manifold nuts must be installed dry (no
lubrication).
3. Position the exhaust manifold on the
mounting studs and secure with nuts.
Tighten the nuts to the specified torque:
r 55 lb-ft (75 N•m) for 10-mm nuts
r 65 lb-ft (88 N•m) for 12-mm nuts
