Poor sound

Noise
• Makesureallconnectionstotheactive 

  EMI-inducingdevices.
• IstherealightdimmerorotherSCR-based
  deviceonthesameACcircuitastheThump 
loudspeaker?UseanAClinelterorplugthe
loudspeakerintoadifferentACcircuit.
Hum
• Trydisconnectingthecableconnectedtothe
  inputjack.Ifthenoisedisappears,itcouldbe
  a“groundloop,”ratherthanaproblemwiththe
  Thumploudspeaker.Trysomeofthefollowing
  troubleshootingideas:
• Usebalancedconnectionsthroughoutyoursystem
  forthebestnoiserejection.
• Wheneverpossible,plugalltheaudioequipment’s
  linecordsintooutletswhichshareacommon
  ground.Thedistancebetweentheoutletsandthe
  commongroundshouldbeasshortaspossible.

No sound
• Isthelevelknobfortheinputsourceturnedall
  thewaydown?Verifythatallthevolumecontrols

• Isthesignalsourceworking?Makesurethe 
