OPERATION
STARTINGTHEENGINE,INSPECTIONSANDBURNISHINGTHECLUTCH
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Start the engine, engage and disengage the
electric clutch to be sure it works normally. Make
sure the emergency switch is working perfectly.
Makesureallthecontrolsareworkingwellbefore
usingtheaccessory.
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Stop ELECTRIC CLUTCH immediately if vibrations
continues after a few evolutions during start-up and
anytimethereafter.Waitforallmovingpartstocome
to a complete stop before dismounting from vehicle
to check for probable causes. Make necessary
repairsandadjustmentsbeforecontinuing.
STARTINGTHEENGINE
Beforestartingtowork,sitonthedriver’sseatandalwaysattachtoyourselftheemergencyswitchlanyard
thatislinkedtothecontrolbox.
NOTE:Donotattempttostarttheunitwiththeengagementknobpulledupinthe“ENGAGED”position.
Usingthecontrolbox,followthesesteps:
Setthethrottleleveronthecontrolboxto“START”position.
Turnkeytothe“ACCESSORY”setting,thentothe“START”setting.
SetthrottlelevertominimumRPM.
Allowenginetoidleafewmomentsbeforeengagingtheblades.
BLADEENGAGEMENT&DISENGAGEMENT
Theremaininginspectionsaremadebyengagingthebladestocheckforvibrations.
Cutterbladescanlock-upagainsteachotherduringstart-upandshut-down.
FollowingBladeEngagementandBladeDisengagementinstructionsbelow.
ENGAGINGTHEBLADES
A)Placetheengineleveratminimumthrottle.
B)Whileengineisrunningatidle,engagetheblades
bypullinguptheengagementswitch.
IMPORTANT: While engine is running full throttle,
makesuretheaccessoryisnot vibratingexcessively
foratleast3seconds.
DISENGAGINGTHEBLADES
A) Slowly decrease throttle speed until engine idle
speedisreached.
B) Then, push down the engagement switch to
disengagetheblades.
C)Engage vehicle’sparking brake, shutoff vehicle’s
engineandremoveignitionkeyfromtheswitch..Stay
onvehicleuntilbladesarecompletelystopped.
IMPORTANT:
If excessive vibrations continue after 3 seconds at full engine speed, immediately disengage, shut down
engine,andremovethekeyfromtheswitch.
BURNISHINGPROCEDURE
Theburnishingproceduremustbeperformedbeforethefirsttimeuseoftheaccessoryandaftereachprolonged
periodofinactivity.Burnishingtheengagingsystemwillensureproperperformanceandwillhelpavoid
damages.
1. Makethereisnothingthatblockstherotationandstarttheengine.
2. Engageelectricclutch.
3. Disengageelectricclutchandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
4. Repeatprocedure(steps2&3)10timeswithin30secondsintervalstoavoidoverheatingtheclutchwhich
mayresultindamage.
