STEP1
ENGINEANDBATTERYPREPARATION
Disengage spark plug wire and place it where it
cannotmakeaconnection.
Add oil in the engine. Verify oil level and add if
necessary before starting engine. (See engine
owner’smanual).
U1batterymustbepurchasedlocally:
Check the battery. If the battery is put into service
afterthe“monthandyear”ofthedateonthebattery,
it may need to be recharged with a 12 volt battery
charger.Followthemanufacturer'sinstructionsforthe
batteryorforthebatterycharger.
Remove the guard (item 1) by removing the knobs
(item2).
Attach battery cables to the battery, make sure to
attach the red wire on the positive terminal first and
thentheblackwireonthenegativeterminal.
Secureinplacewiththerubberties.Reinstallthethe
guard(item1).
