TRANSPORTATION
TRANSPORTINGTHEMOWER
 AlwaysdisengageELECTRICCLUTCH beforethe
raisingthedecktotransportposition.
 Raisethedecktoitsmaximum.
When transporting the equipment without towing it
behind a vehicle, disconnect the wire from the spark
plug(s) and keep away from spark plug(s) to prevent
accidentalstarting.
IMPORTANT:
 Reduce vehicle’s ground speed when turning and
leaveenoughclearancesotheaccessorydoesnot
comeintocontactwithobstaclessuchasbuildings,
trees,orfences.
 When traveling on roadways, transport in such a
way that faster moving vehicles may pass you
safely.
 Reduce speed when traveling over rough or hilly
terrain.
 Always look down and behind, before and while
drivingbackwardswiththeaccessory.
Makesurethattheaccessoriesrearhitchbar
equipmentdoesnotcomeintocontactwiththe
vehicle’swheels.
DANGER
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Do not operate and/or travel across steep inclines
whereavehiclecanrolloverresultinginseriousinjury
ordeath.
Consultyourvehicle’smanualforacceptableinclines
thevehicleiscapableoftravelingacross.
Never operate on slopes of more than 15 degrees
Max.
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Whentravelingonpublicroads,useaccessorylights,
SMV sign, clean reflectors, and other adequate
devices to warn operators in other vehicles of your
presence. Always complywith all federal, state, and
locallaws.
DISMOUNTINGANDSTORAGE
DISMOUNTING:
1.Shutofftheaccessory’sengine.
2.Selectalevelsurface,settheparkingbrake,stop
thevehicle'sengineandremovetheignitionkeyto
preventaccidentalstarting.
3.Removethecontrolboxfromthevehicleandinstallit
ontheaccessory’sbatteryguard.
4.Detachtheaccessoryfromthevehiclebyremovingit
fromtherearballhitch.
LONGTERMSTORAGE
1. Clean off any dirt and grease that may have
accumulated on the accessory and moving parts.
Scrape off compacted dirt from the bottom of the
deck and then wash surface thoroughly with a
gardenhose.Acoatingofoilmayalsobeappliedto
thelowerdeckareatominimizeoxidation.
2. Checkbladesandbladeboltsforwearandreplace
ifnecessary.See“BladeMaintenance”section.
3. Inspect accessory for loose, damaged, or worn
partsandadjustorreplaceasneeded.
4. Repaint parts where paint is worn or scratched to
preventrust.
5. Replacealldamagedormissingdecals.
6. Followtheinstructionsintheengineowner'smanual.
7. Storeaccessory on a level surfaceand ina clean,
dry place. Inside storage will reduce maintenance
andassurealongerlife.
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Always keep the tow bar on the ground when the
mower is not in use. A tow bar left in the raised
positioncanfallandcauseinjuries.
