20.2 Towing
For flat/tow bar towing and dolly towing the ROXOR follow the
instructions listed here. Check with your ROXOR authorized dealer
for any updates on this subject.
Be advised that Front Locking Hubs are required for this activity.
(Conversion Kit Sold Separately)
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation and use of
all third party towing devices. Only attach towing device brackets
to the 4 bolts (per side) that attach the front bumper. Secure or
remove all loose contents in your ROXOR before attempting to tow
it. Failure to follow these warnings may result in severe injury or
death.
The preferred method for extended towing the ROXOR is to remove
the front and rear propeller shafts.
Check your local regulations to determine if the towed vehicle
needs to be licensed and plated. Some states may also require
brake actuation systems.
Towing Preparation Procedure:
1. Verify tires are inflated to 28 psi.
2. Verify vehicle alignment meets manufacturers specification.
3. Verify both differentials, the transfer case and transmission fluid
levels are at their recommended levels.
4. Verify all grease locations are properly lubricated.
5. Do not secure the steering wheel, it must be free to rotate for
vehicle to track correctly.
6. Use magnetic safety /tail lights attached to the rear of the
ROXOR in tow.
Manual Transmission Towing Procedure:
1. Position the ROXOR behind the tow vehicle, facing forward on a
level surface.
2. Securely attach the ROXOR to the tow vehicle.
3. On the ROXOR disengage /unlock the Manual Locking Front
Hubs per manufacturer'sinstructions.
4. Shift the ROXOR transfer case to N (Neutral).
5. Shift the ROXOR transmission into 1st gear.
6. Begin towing and limit tow speed to 55 mph.
7. Do not attempt to back up.
Start towing slowly and verify the ROXOR is tracking correctly,
check the hubs for heat buildup after driving for 25 miles and then
every 100 miles after that.
