Locate, unwrap, and attach the Smart Extruder+ to the extruder carriage. Magnets secure the extruder in place.
Keep your MakerBot 3D printer's firmware up to date. Updates often improve Z-axis homing, crucial for correct extruder operation.
Monitor the first layer. Adjust Z-axis offset if nozzle scrapes plate or plastic doesn't adhere, indicating extruder height issues.
Pause print via Menu > Print > Change Filament. Follow loading steps after resuming. Can also let filament run out if firmware is updated.
