Using the system

When the file has been created, save in the Text (Tab Delimited).txt format.
Note: when viewing a vial position file in Excel the labeling in Excel of rows and
columns must be ignored - columns are actually rows. For example, H1 in Excel
is actually the vial position A8. See the Excel image for clarification.
Tip: empty rows at the beginning of an Excel file (i.e. columns in the vial pos-
ition) are deleted by Excel when you save a TXT file. There are two
workarounds:either color the empty cells or select both the full and empty
cells, and then choose Data-Group Rows. The empty cells are then incor-
porated into the TXT file correctly when you export to TXT, enabling the system
to recognize their "empty" status correctly.
