Why is my M&C CG-2 not heating up?
    • E
      Emily MorganAug 7, 2025
If the M&C Media Converter isn't heating up and LED K1 is off, the heater might be defective, requiring replacement. Alternatively, the temperature controller could be faulty; in this case, measure the voltage at terminal X4/6 and 7. If the voltage is less than 8 V DC, check the controller according to the operating instructions. If it's more than 8 V DC, replace the solid-state relay. A sensor short circuit could also be the cause, so consider changing the sensor. Finally, the solid-state relay itself might be defective and need replacement.

If there's no sample gas flow in your M&C Media Converter, the gas sample lines might be blocked or leaking. Check the gas sample lines and ensure they are gas-tight.
