Tow the lift truck for a short distance with slow speed.
- Shut down engine
- Put the forward/reverse lever in neutral position
- Release the parking brake
- Put the emergency lights
- put the gear selector in neutral position:
a) disconnect and close the hydraulic “1” (Fig. G2/1) of the cylinder of the gear selector.
b) put the rod “2” (Fig. G2/1) in neutral position (this is on half sroke between two “release”)
- Deactivate the negative brake:
c) screw the screws with lock nut “1” (Fig. G2/2) and “1” (Fig. G2/3) placed on both sides of the front axle
box until they touch of the rod. Now screw the same one turn.
- If the engine is not running there will be no steering or braking assistance. Operate the steering and pedal
slowly avoiding sudden jerky movements.
It’s important that the two screws have the same turns.

c) IMPORTANT: measure the distance that the bolts extend from the axle case. Loosen lock nut "1" (fig. G2/2)
and (fig. G2/3) on both sides of the front axle. Tighten both bolts until they bottom out. Tighten the lock nuts.
When towing is finished, adjust the bolts back to the original measurement and tighten the lock nuts.

The forklift must be fully supported by chocks and/or a large towing vehicle and
tow bar before releasing the brakes!
