E8 - DRAIN AND CLEAN THE FUEL TANK
While carrying out these operations, do not smoke or work near a flame.
Place the lift truck on level ground with the engine stopped.
- Lift up the cabin (See chapter : INSTRUMENTS AND CONTROLS in
paragraph : 2 - DESCRIPTION).
- Inspect the parts susceptible to leaks in the fuel circuit and in the tank.
- In the event of a leak, contact your dealer.
Never try to carry out a weld or any other operation by yourself, this could
provoke an explosion or a fire.
- Place a container under drain plug 1 (Fig. E8/1) and unscrew the plug.
- Remove cap 2 (Fig. E8/2).
- Let the fuel flow and clean with 10 litres of clean fuel by filler port 3 (Fig.
E8/2).
- Refit and tighten drain plug 1 (Fig. E8/1) (Tightening torque 29 to 39 N.m).
- Fill the fuel tank with clean fuel (See chapter : LUBRICANTS AND FUEL in
paragraph : 3 - MAINTENANCE) filtered through a strainer or a clean, lint-
free cloth and refit the filler plug 2 (Fig. E8/2).
- Re-prime the system by activating fuel feed pump 4 (Fig. E8/3).
- If necessary, bleed the system (See chapter : H1 - BLEED THE FUEL
SYSTEM in paragraph : 3 - MAINTENANCE).
E9 - CHANGE THE SAFETY DRY AIR FILTER
CARTRIDGE
- Lift up the cabin (See chapter : INSTRUMENTS AND CONTROLS in
paragraph : 2 - DESCRIPTION).
- Disassemble the dry air filter cartridge (See chapter : D3 - CHANGE THE
DRY AIR FILTER CARTRIDGE in paragraph : 3 - MAINTENANCE).
UP TO MACHINE N° 142 126
- Remove air filter safety cartridge 1 (Fig. E9/1) and replace the safety
cartridge concerned with a new cartridge.
