B17 - Clean the cab external ventilation
filter (optional air conditioning)
- Remove the guard.
- Remove the cab ventilation filter “1” (Fig.
B17).
Clean the filter with a jet of compressed air.
- Check the condition of the filter and replace
it, if necessary (see: 3 - MAINTENANCE:
FILTER ELEMENTS AND BELTS).
- Refit the filter.
- Refit the guard.
B18 - Emptying the fuel pre-filter with
water separator (if necessary)
The fuel poured on the boiling surfaces
and electrical components can cause fires.
To avoid possible accidents, switch off the
starter switch while changing the filters or
water separator element. Remove spilt fuel
immediately.
Make sure the engine is stationary before car-
rying out any maintenance or repairs on it.
The water separator is in underpressure
during the normal working of the engine.
Make sure the discharge valve is closed
properly to prevent air from entering the
supply system.
Wipe the outside of the prefilter as well as
its support thoroughly to prevent dust from
penetrating the system.
- Open the engine hood.
- Place a suitable container under the
condensate trap to collect the fuel that
flows out. Wipe fluid that may have leaked
outside.
- Make sure the outer body of the filter unit
is clean and devoid of dirt.
- Install a suitable tube on outlet “3” (Fig.
B18). Open discharge valve “2” (Fig. B18).
Turn the discharge valve anticlockwise.
It must be turned through two complete
turns. Slacken the venting screw “1” (Fig.
B18).
- Let the liquid flow out into the container.
- Insert the valve thread in the filter ele-
ment and tighten the discharge valve only
manually. Tighten the vent screw firmly.
- Remove the tube and container.

B17 - Pulire il filtro di ventilazione ester-
no della cabina (optional clima-
tizzazione)
- Smontare il carter di protezione.
- Estrarre il filtro di ventilazione cabina “1”
(fig.B17).
- Pulire il filtro con un getto d’aria com-
pressa.
- Controllare lo stato del filtro e sostituirlo
se necessario (vedi: 3 - MANUTENZIONE:
ELEMENTI FILTRANTI E CINGHIE).
- Rimettere il filtro.
- Rimontare il carter di protezione.
B18 - Svuotamento del pre-filtro carburante
con separatore di acqua (se necessario)
Il carburante versato su superfici bollenti o
componenti elettriche può provocare incendi.
Per evitare possibili infortuni spegnere l’in-
terruttore di avviamento quando si cambia-
no i filtri o l’elemento separatore dell’acqua.
Rimuovere immediatamente il carburante
versato.
Accertarsi che il motore sia fermo prima di
eseguire qualunque operazione di manuten-
zione o riparazione.
Il separatore dell’acqua è in depressione
durante il funzionamento normale del moto-
re. Accertarsi che la valvola di scarico sia
chiusa bene, per prevenire l’entrata di aria
nell’impianto di alimentazione.
Pulire accuratamente l’esterno del prefiltro
nonché il suo supporto per impedire la pene-
trazione della polvere nel sistema.
- Aprire il cofano motore
- Collocare un contenitore adatto sotto il
separatore dell’acqua per raccogliere qualsi-
asi fluido che potrebbe fuoriuscire. Ripulire
qualsiasi fluido eventualmente fuoriuscito.
- Assicurarsi che il corpo esterno del gruppo
del filtro sia pulito e privo di sporco.
- Installare un tubo adatto sullo scarico “3”
(fig. B18). Aprire la valvola di scarico “2” (fig.
B18). Ruotare la valvola di scarico in senso
antiorario. Sono necessari due giri completi.
Allentare la vite di sfiato “1” (fig. B18).
- Lasciare che il liquido defluisca nel con-
tenitore.
- Inserire le filettature della valvola nell’ele-
mento filtrante e serrare la valvola di scarico
solo con le mani. Serrare saldamente la vite
di sfiato.
- Rimuovere il tubo e il contenitore.

B17 - Wyczyścić zewnętrzny filtr wenty-
lacji kabiny (opcja klimatyzacji)
- Zdjąć osłonę zabezpieczającą.
- Wyciągnąć filtr wentylacji kabiny „1” (rys.
B17).
- Oczyścić filtr strumieniem sprężonego
powietrza.
- Sprawdzić stan filtra i wymienić go w
razie potrzeby (patrz: 3 - KONSERWACJA:
WKŁADY FILTRÓW I PASY).
- Założyć filtr.
- Umieścić osłonę zabezpieczającą na mie-
jscu.
B18 - Opróżnić wstępny filtr paliwa z separa-
torem wody (jeżeli jest to konieczne)
Paliwo rozlane na gorące powierzchnie lub
na elementy elektryczne może być przyczyną
pożaru. Aby uniknąć zagrożeń i nieszczęśli-
wego wypadku, podczas wymiany filtrów lub
elementu separatora wody, rozrusznik musi
być wyłączony. Natychmiast usunąć rozlane
paliwo.
Przed wykonaniem jakiejkolwiek operacji
związanej z konserwacją lub naprawą należy
upewnić się, czy silnik jest wyłączony.
Podczas normalnej pracy silnika w separa-
torze wody jest podciśnienie. Upewnić się, czy
zawór spustowy jest dokładnie zamknięty,
aby powietrze nie przedostało się do układu
zasilania.
Dokładnie oczyścić zewnętrzną stronę filtra
wstępnego i oprawę filtra tak, aby kurz prze-
dostał się do układu.
- Otworzyć pokrywę silnika
- Umieścić odpowiedni pojemnik pod sepa-
ratorem wody, aby zebrać dowolny płyn,
jaki mógłby wypłynąć. Wyczyścić każdy
płyn, jaki ewentualnie wypłynął.
- Sprawdzić, czy obudowa zewnętrzna filtra
jest czysta.
- Zamontować odpowiednią rurę na wylocie
„3” (rys. B18). Otworzyć zawór spustowy
„2” (rys. B18). Obrócić zawór spustowy w
kierunku przeciwnym do ruchu wskazówek
zegara. Konieczne jest wykonanie dwóch
pełnych obrotów. Poluzować śrubę odpo-
wietrznika „1” (rys. B18).
- Odczekać, aby płyn spłynął do pojemnika.
- Wsunąć gwint zaworu do wkładu filtra
i dokręcić zawór spustowy tylko ręcznie.
Mocno dokręcić śrubę odpowietrzenia.
- Usunąć rurę i pojemnik.
