REAR
PANEL
CONNECTIONS
All
connections
to
the
rear
panel
should
be
made
with
the
power
to
the
entire
system
turned
off.
To
avoid
confusion,
connect
one
cable
at
a
time
between
the
different
components
of
your
system.
This
is
the
safest
way
to
avoid
cross-connecting
channels
or
confusing
signal
inputs
with
outputs.

INPUTS
For
connection
of
the
Line
outputs
of
your
tuner.

For
connection
of
a
turntable
with
a
magnetic
phono
cartridge.

JACKS
It
is
possible
to
connect
two
tape
recorders

a
graphic
equalizer
to

jacks.
The
IN
jacks
receive
signals
from
the
LINE
OUT
jacks
of
the
cassette
deck,
and
the
OUT
jacks
feed
signals
to
the
LINE
IN
jacks
of
the
cassette
deck.

preamplifier

connector

terminal

not

BUS
TERMINAL
Connect
Marantz
stereo
components
equipped
with
an
§.O.
bus
terminal
(such
as
the
SD530,
SD630
or
$D430
tape
dick
and
ST530
stereo
tuner)
to
the
E.O.
terminal
using
the
gren
bus
cable.
Connecting
the
cable
to
any
terminal
other
than
he
E.O.
bus
terminal
will
cause
trouble
in
your
stereo
componeits.
The
easy
operation
bus
acts
as
a
remote
source
selector
for
th:
ampli-
fier.
Therefore,
you
need
not
operate
the
source
selecto;
switch
of
the
amplifier
when
you
change
and
use
source
programssuch
as
the
tuner
and
tape.
For
example,
with
conventional
systems,
when
you
want
to
listen
to
a
broadcast
while
playing
a
record,
you
must
switch
tte
func-
tion
switch
of
the
amplifier
to
TUNER
then
operate
th
-tuner,
With
the
E.O.
bus
system,
you
only
need
to
operate
the
tuier.
REMOTE
CONTROL
(R.C.)
BUS
TERMINAL
Connect
the
R.C.
terminal
of
the
PM630
or
PM730
amnifiier
to
the
RC430
remote
control
receiver
or
other
Marantz
stero
com-
ponent
{such
as
the
ST530
tuner
or
SD530,
SD630
or
D430
tape
deck)
equipped
with
an
R.C.
terminal
using
the
orange
remote
control
bus
cable.
Pay
attention
to
the
color
terminals
when
connecting
tle
R.C,
cable.
Connecting
the
cable
to
any
terminal
other
than
tee
R.c,
terminal
may
cause
trouble
in
your
stereo
components.
