LOUDNESS
SWITCH
Compensates
for
human
hearing
characteristics
by
boosting
the
bass
and
treble
response
at
low
volume
levels
to
achieve
a
more
pleasing
tonal
balance.
The
LOUDNESS
indicator
lights
when
this
switch
is
pressed.

BALANCE
CONTROL
To
adjust
the
level
of
the
right
and
left
channels.
An
LED
lights
when
the
right
and
left
channel
output
levels
are
balanced;
how-
ever,
it
goes
out
if
the
output
level
of
either
channel
is
changed.
It
does
not
affect
the
signal
present
at
the
TAPE
MONITOR
OUT
jacks.
MONO
MODE
SWITCH
Press
this
switch
to
place
the
unit
in
the
monaural
mode.

MONO
indicator
lights.)

TAPE
COPY
SWITCHES
These
switches
are
used
for
recording
or
dubbing
with
tape
decks.
Pressing
either
of
these
switches
selects
the
signals
which
are
sent
to
two
tape
decks.

HIGH
FILTER
SWITCH
Press
this
switch
to
eliminate
noise
from
scratches
on
records
or
in
AM
broadcasts.

This
filter

used
to
reduce
turntable
and
low
frequency
noise.
FILTER
INDICATOR
When
the
HIGH/SUBSONIC
FILTER
switch
is
pressed,
the
LED

These
controls
are
used
to
adjust
the
tone.
Moving
either
control
in
the
(+)
direction
boosts
the
applicable
frequency
range,
moving
it
in
the
(—)
direction
attenuates
it.
TREBLE:
Adjusts
the
level
of
high
tones.
BASS:
Adjust
the
level
of
low
tones.

To
select
the
pair
of
speakers
used.
Both
pairs
can
also
be
operated
simultaneously.
CAUTION:
We
strongly
recommend
that
the
volume
be
reduced
before
switching
speaker
systems
to
prevent
damage
to
your
loudspeakers.

INDICATOR
Pressing
one
of
the
SPEAKER
switches
lights
either
the
SYSTEM

or

Accepts
headphones
utilizing
a
standard
three
conductor
phone
Plug
(low
impedance
as
well
as
high
impedance
units),
Plugging
in
the
headphone
cuts
off
output
to
the
speakers.
SPEAKER
PHASING
To
assure
the
best
stereo
separation
and
frequency
response
the
speakers
must
be
properly
phased.
The
positive
terminal
on
each
speaker
should
be
connected
to
its
respective
positive
terminal
on
the
amplifier
and
the
negative
terminal
of
the
speakers
to
the
negative
terminais
of
the
amplifier.
