components

lights
when
the

This
indicator
lights

the
unit
is
in
the
class
A
operation
mode.

MONITOR
SWITCHES
Press
one
of
the
switches
to
monitor
or
play
one
of
the
tape
decks
connected
to
this
unit.
The
indicator
above
the
pressed
switch
lights
up.
When
the
tape
decks
are
not
to
be
monitored
or
played,
press
the
MONITOR
switches
so
that
the
SOURCE
indicators
light.
INPUT
SELECTOR
Selects
the
program
source
to
be
recorded
or
played
from
the
PHONO,
CD,
TUNER,
AUX
1,
and
AUX
2.
The
indicator
of
the
selected
source
light
up.

REMOTE
SENSOR
The
remote
sensor
receives
the
infrared
commands
from
the
remote
control
unit.
When
an
infrared
signal
is
received
from
the
remote
control
unit.
The
remote
contro!
unit
must
always
be
pointed
directry
at
the
remote
sensor.
VOLUME
CONTROL
Adjusts
the
volume
level.
Turn
the
knob
clockwise
to
increase
the
volume.
MUTING
SWITCH
When
this
switch
is
pressed,
the
audio
signal
is
muted
to
—e°
dB.
Use
this
switch
when
it
is
required
to
eliminate
the
sound
temporarily.
The
indicator
lights
when
the
switch
is
pressed.
NOTE:
Be
sure
to
check
the
VOLUME
control
setting
before
pressing
this
switch
to
cancel
muting.

the
muting
is
canceled
while
the
volume
setting
is
high,
the
speakers
could
be
damaged.
BALANCE
CONTROL
Turn
the
knob
to
correct
an
unbalanced
program
source
such
as
stereo
broadcast
or
to
vary
the
output
level
of
the
left
or
right
channel.
Note
that,
if
the
BALANCE
control
is
turned
fully
in
one
direction,
the
sound
will
not
be
heard
from
the
speaker
on
the
other
side.

REC
SELECTOR
SWITCH
Selects
the
tape
dubbing
mode
between
tape
decks
or
the
signal
output
at
the
REC
OUT
jacks.

SUBSONIC
FILTER
SWITCH
Turn
this
switch
on
when
rumble
or
low
frequency
due
to
warped
record
iS
significant.
This
switch
is
not
effective
when
the
SOURCE
DIRECT
switchis
on.

MONO
SWITCH
When
this
switch
is
pressed
to
the
low
position,
the
left
and
right
channel
sounds
are
mixed
and
the
same
sound
is
produced
from
both
speakers.
Usually,
set
this
switch
to
the
high
position.
PROCESSOR
SWITCH
Press
this
switch
when
an
analog
audio
processor
connected
10
this
unit,
such
as
a
graphic
equalizer,
is
to
be
used.
NOTE:
If
this
switch
is
pressed
while
an
analog
processor
or
like
is
not
connected
to
this
unit,
the
sound
will
not
be
heard
because
the
signal
paths
are
switched.
Therefore,
be
sure
to
set
this
switch
to
the
off
position
in
normal
use.

SOURCE
DIRECT
SWITCH
When
this
switch
is
pressed,
the
audio
signal
bypasses
the
tone
circuitry
(BASS,
TREBLE)
and
balance
control
circuitry
so
thatt
can
be
reproduced
with
a
higher
quality.
To
cancel
the
Source
Di
tect
operation,
press
the
switch
again.
