How to fix Master Forge Grill burner that will not light using igniter?
    • D
Dr. Frank Clarke IIAug 14, 2025
If the burner on your Master Forge grill won't light with the igniter, several issues could be the cause. First, check if the LP gas tank is low or empty and replace it if needed. Also, inspect for any LP gas leaks; if you detect a leak, turn the LP gas tank valve to the “OFF” position, wait 5 minutes, and then follow the “Checking for Leaks” instructions. Another possibility is that the wires or electrode are covered in cooking residue, in this case you should clean them with rubbing alcohol. Make sure the electrode and burners are dry, wiping them with a cloth if necessary. Finally, the electrode or wire may be damaged or disconnected, and replacement parts or reconnection may be needed.

Why Master Forge GBT23010L Grill burner will not light with match?
    • L
      Lisa DelgadoAug 17, 2025
If the burner on your Master Forge grill won't light with a match, there could be several reasons. First, check if the LP gas tank is empty and replace it if needed. If the tank isn't empty, there may be no gas flow, refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height”. Make sure that the coupling nut and regulator are fully connected by hand-tightening them (do NOT use tools). Additionally, check for any obstructions in the gas flow, such as spider webs or insect nests in the venturi, or clogged burner ports, and clean the burner/venturi tube or ports as needed. Finally, inspect for any LP gas leaks; if you detect a leak, turn the LP gas tank valve to the “OFF” position, wait 5 minutes, and then follow the “Checking for Leaks” instructions.

What to do if my Master Forge Grill has flare-up?
    • W
      William PatelAug 20, 2025
If your Master Forge grill experiences flare-ups, it could be due to grease buildup. Remove and clean all grill parts according to the “Cleaning and Care” instructions. Another cause might be excess fat in the meat, so trim the fat before grilling. Finally, excessive cooking temperature can also cause flare-ups, so adjust to a lower cooking temperature.

What to do if the flame goes out on my Master Forge GBT23010L?
    • W
      wiseheatherAug 25, 2025
If the flame on your Master Forge grill goes out, it could be due to a few reasons. High or gusting winds can extinguish the flame, so avoid using the grill in such conditions. Another possibility is that you're low on LP gas, so replace the LP gas tank. Finally, the overflow valve might have tripped; in this case, refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height.”

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Master Forge Grill?
    • J
      Jeffrey SchwartzAug 31, 2025
A yellow or orange flame on your Master Forge grill can be attributed to several factors. If it's a new burner, it may have residual manufacturing oils; operate the grill for 15 minutes on high with the lid closed to burn them off. Also, spider webs or insect nests in the burner/venturi tube, or food residue on the burners can cause this issue; clean the burner/venturi tube or burners as needed. Poor alignment of the valve to the burner/venturi tube can also be the cause, ensure the burner/venturi tube is properly engaged with the valve.

    • A
      Alan WalshSep 6, 2025

Why is the inside of my Master Forge GBT23010L lid peeling?
    • R
      Rachel WillisSep 10, 2025
If the inside of your Master Forge grill lid is peeling, it's likely due to baked-on grease buildup that has turned to carbon. Clean all grill parts according to the “Cleaning and Care” instructions to resolve this.
