Setting the amperage control
This welder has an infinite output current
control. It is capable of welding with 1/16" and
5/64" and 3/32" electrodes.
1. Using welding voltage control, set higher
amperage for thick and heavy metals and
lower amperage for light and thin metals.
2. Try the intended weld on scrap metal to
ensure the proper amperage
determination.
Welding techniques
Holding the electrode
1. Hold the electrode in a way that is most
comfortable to work.
2. Hold the electrode (1) perpendicular to the
work piece (2) when striking the initial arc
(fig i)
.
3. To allow good penetration with minimal
spatter, hold the electrode at an angle of
10-30between the electrode and the
work piece once the initial arc is struck
.
