This feature is very helpful in offices. The PROTON 206/308 can be set to night mode (non-working hour) at the
close of the day. The next morning it can be set to day mode (working hours).
How to use it?
Use following command to switch day/night mode:
151 : System goes in day mode.
152 : System goes in night mode.
This command is allowed from SA and SE Mode.
By default, the system is in Day Mode.

What’s this?
Every system comes with pre-defined set of variables like station’s flexible numbers, timers and other
parameters. These pre-defined settings are called default settings. The default value of each programmable
parameter is mentioned in the respective section. If the default setting suits your requirements then you may not
even program the system and the system will work according to default settings.
When to use it?
Many times it happens that due to some programming error, the system goes haywire and you are unable to
analyse the problem. During such situation, it is advisable to software default the system. However software
default of the system can be done from the programming mode and hence programming password should be
known. If you forget the password then software default cannot be done and in that case hardware default of the
system should be done.
How to use it?
Enter Programming Mode.
Dial 18-Programming Password.
The system restarts
Important Point:
Software default of the system will change all system parameters, system timers, system passwords and all
the parameters set related to various features and facilities to default values.

Demonstration of Tones
What’s this?
Different types of tones generated by the PBX to indicate different status like error tone, dial tone, etc. can be
heard by giving following commands. When a customer purchases an PBX, he feels to get acquainted with
different types of tones given by the system. Unless one is familiar with these tones, he would not understand
their meaning. If a group of people wants to hear these tones, a hands-free phone can be used.
