Overview

The MAXHUB Speakerphone is a versatile audio conferencing device designed for various meeting room environments, offering multiple connectivity options and user-friendly features. It serves as a central hub for audio communication, integrating microphones, speakers, and connectivity for seamless collaboration.

Function Description:

The MAXHUB Speakerphone is primarily designed to facilitate clear and effective audio communication in meeting settings. It features an 8-array microphone system with built-in DOA (Direction of Arrival) tracking, enabling it to pick up sounds and track the direction of sound sources, ensuring that all participants are heard clearly. The device also includes a speaker for audio output, making it a complete solution for both input and output audio.

Connectivity is a key aspect of this speakerphone. It supports simultaneous connections to devices via USB, Bluetooth, or NFC pairing, allowing up to three devices to be connected at the same time. This multi-device support makes it highly adaptable to different setups, whether connecting to a PC, Mac, mobile phone, or interactive display.

For calls, the device integrates call answer and hang-up functions, compatible with Bluetooth connections to mobile phones or PCs running Microsoft Teams. This allows users to manage calls directly from the speakerphone, enhancing convenience during meetings.

The speakerphone also includes a volume/battery level indicator, providing visual feedback on the device's status. A full light ring indicates full power or 100% volume, while flashing red indicates a low battery, accompanied by an audible tone. This helps users monitor the device's charge and audio levels at a glance.

Usage Features:

The MAXHUB Speakerphone is designed for intuitive operation. It features a power on/off button, which can be pressed and held for 2 seconds to turn the device on or off. Volume adjustment is straightforward with dedicated "+" and "-" buttons to increase or decrease the audio level.

Microphone control is also simple, with a mute button that toggles the microphone on or off. A red light indicates the microphone is off, while a white light signifies it is on, providing clear visual feedback to users.

Bluetooth connectivity is initiated by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds. The device supports two simultaneous Bluetooth connections: one dedicated for the MAXHUB USB Bluetooth Dongle and another for other host devices like mobile phones or PCs. This dual connection capability enhances flexibility in various meeting scenarios.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is another convenient pairing option. Users can automatically pair and connect with an NFC-compatible device by aligning the mobile phone's NFC sensing area with the speakerphone's NFC tag and touching it for at least 2 seconds. This feature streamlines the connection process for compatible Android phones.

For wired connections, the speakerphone can be plugged into a PC/Mac port using a USB cable. The system automatically detects the speakerphone, which can then be selected as the speaker and microphone source. The USB port also serves for charging the device.

A unique feature is the ability to cascade two speakerphones wirelessly. This mode, which works under Bluetooth connection, allows two speakerphones to be paired for synchronous audio, effectively extending the audio coverage in larger rooms. Double-clicking the Bluetooth button on both speakerphones initiates the cascade mode, and a successful connection is indicated by a "cascade is connected" tone and a steady blue light. Volume and mute functions can then be controlled from either cascaded speakerphone.

The device also supports connection via a USB Dongle, which is recommended for interactive displays to ensure stable Bluetooth connection. Inserting the dongle into a USB port on a computer or interactive display automatically connects it to the speakerphone.

Maintenance Features:

The MAXHUB Speakerphone is built with recyclable, high-performance materials and components, emphasizing environmental responsibility. Users are advised to dispose of the product according to local regulations for electronic and electrical waste.

For product care, the device should be cleaned only with a microfiber cleaning cloth. It is not waterproof and should be kept dry to prevent damage. Users are also cautioned against placing the device near heat sources or direct sunlight. During thunderstorms, the device should be turned off and unplugged.

The speakerphone contains a built-in lithium battery, and regular charging is recommended to maintain battery health and prevent over-discharge, especially during long-term storage. If the battery is draining and cannot be charged, it may indicate a malfunction, and users should contact MAXHUB customer support.

Software updates and device management can be performed using the MAXHUB Align software, which can be downloaded from the MAXHUB website. This ensures the device operates with the latest firmware and features.

In case of a lost or new USB Bluetooth Dongle, a re-pairing process is available. This involves plugging the new dongle into a PC USB port, ensuring the speakerphone's Bluetooth is not connected to other devices, and then pressing and holding the speakerphone's Bluetooth button for at least 9 seconds until a "Dongle Pairing" voice prompt is heard, followed by "Dongle connected."

Troubleshooting guidance is provided for common issues such as the device not turning on, shutting down prematurely, no sound, or not being detected via USB. Solutions include checking power, charging the battery, verifying connections, adjusting volume, trying different USB ports or cables, or resetting the speakerphone by holding the power button for 8 seconds.
