TORSION BAR ADJUSTMENT - Continued
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
4. Stow platform (FIG. 20-1). Refer
to Operation Manual for detailed
operating instructions.

6. Increase tension by sliding LH
housing inboard toward LH
side of vehicle (FIG. 20-3). The
range of adjustment is 0" to 10”
to the left of stop block
(FIG. 20-3).

5. To adjust tension on the LH torsion bar,
loosen locking screw on housing for LH
torsion bar (FIGS. 20-2 and 20-2A).

Tension can be increased (or
decreased) with more precision
by changing the position of the
