• Select Extra Rinse (select models).
• Check water temperature. Incomingwater shouldbe 120° -140° F (49-60° C).
• Always use a rinse aid.
• Confirmthat the cloudinessis removableby soaking the item inwhite vinegarfor approximately5 minutes. If removed,the problemis due
to hardwater. Adjust detergent amount being used to match water hardness(pg.5). Be sure detergent isfresh, stored properlyand is a
highquality brand.
If cloudiness isnot removable, itis etching. Thisis an erosionof thesurface of the glasswareandconbe causedby water that is too hot,
from using too much detergent or by prewashing. Detergent needs food soil to act upon. If etchinghas occurred, the glassware is
permanentlydamaged. Toprevent furtheretching,adjustthe detergentamounttomatchthe waterhardness,stopprewashing,and be sure
incomingwater temperatureis not greaterthan 140° F(60° C). Usewater heatingoptions only whenincomingwater temperatureis below
120° F (49° C).

Runhot wateratthesink beforestarting thedishwasher.
SelectToughScrub" or ToughScrub" Plus (selectmodels).
Checkwater hardnessand adjust detergentamountaccordingly(pg.5).

Priorto loading,scrape off burnt on foods and wipethestarchyfilmfrom utensils usedwithpasta, dce and oatmeal. These soils require
moreenergy thanthe rest of the load to clean.
• Aluminumutensilsor pans can leavemarks whentheyrub againstotheritems. Leavea slightspace betweenitems.
• Irondeposits in the water can leave a yellow, brownor orange film on dishes or the dishwashertub. A filtermay be needed,checkwith a
water treatmentcompany.
• Separatesilver or silver-platedsilverwarefrom stainlesssteel. These metalscan be damagedby contactwitheach other duringwashing.
• Color fromtomato sauces may adhereto the tub (pg. 8). If light staininghas occurred,leavethe deer opento oxidizethe stainaway. For
removal of heavier stains, try Cascade Plastic Booster Plastic Cleaning Additive*. Change dishwasherdetergentand be sure to use a
dishwasherdetergentthat containschlodneto better fight staining.
Be sure HeatedDryisselected.
Waterdroplets mayform on the innerdoor aspartof the drying process.
Use a rinse aid likeJet Dry" or Cascade RinseAid* regularly,to improvedrying. Turn the dnse aid selectortowardsthe MAX setting.

Plastic and teflon items are difficultto dry becausethey have a puous surface which tends to collect water droplets.Toweldryingmay be
