      Your Maytag washer might be vibrating or off-balance due to several reasons. The feet may not be in contact with the floor or locked; ensure the front and rear feet are firmly touching the floor and that the washer is level. An unbalanced load can also cause this issue; load items in loose heaps evenly around the washplate, and avoid adding wet items or extra water. Also, check if the floor is flexing or sagging; if so, place a 3/4" (19 mm) piece of plywood under the washer.

Also, check the drain hose connection and ensure it is properly secured to the drainpipe or laundry tub, without any tape over the drain opening. Inspect household plumbing for leaks or clogs in the sink or drainpipe. Unbalanced loading can also cause leaks, so refer to the 'Using Your Washer' section for correct loading instructions.
