INTRODUCTIONOPERATION
CHECKS BEFORE EACH START-UP
1. Make sure all safety guards are in place and all nuts, bolts and
clips are secure.
2. Check the engine oil level. See your engine Owner’s Manual for
procedure and specications.
3. Check the casters to make sure they are set at the desired
height.
4. Make sure that the broom is angled in the proper direction.
See the Service section for adjustment procedures and
troubleshooting.
5. Check the tractor controls for smooth operation. See the tractor
Owner's manual for procedures and operation.
OPERATING THE POWER BROOM
WARNING!
Do not operate the attachment
without working knowledge of the
tractor's controls. Property damage
or personal injury may result.
1. Review the Operator's manual for the tractor.
2. Start the tractor and allow it to warm up. The speed of the
broom is controlled by the speed of the engine.
3. Raise the broom.
4. Refer to tractor Owner's Manual for proper PTO engagement
procedure. Engage the PTO.
5. Lower the broom to begin sweeping.
WARNING!
The broom discharge can cause
property damage and injury to by-
standers. Discharge toward open
areas only.
ENGINE SPEED
Broom speed is adjusted by engine rpm. Adjust broom speed as
needed.
BRUSH ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
Assess the discharge area. Position the broom head as needed.
